Good food, service, drinks very good
Sept. 21st she was there according to Facebook. I didn't see a new date.
Great local spot that's been here forever. That's saying something. 👍
Good cheap coffee to buy when you have no money
Comfort food at its finest, with a little bit of ethnicity thrown in to improve. The Benedict Jerusalem and the custom-made bread are amazing, only matched or bettered by their house-made soups. Careful, though, the soup is spicy!!
Not great. However! Not bad either!Go there and drink and eat.
Nice spot, friendly staff. A bit spendier than I expected for breakfast but not horrible. My boys loved their Mickey mouse pancakes and french toast, still talking about them. I would try something different than what ordered but that is on me.
Went on a Tuesday at 10:00am. Service was amazing. The entire staff was constantly stopping by and making sure we had enough coffee. Everyone was so kind. Food was really really good. Got the eggs Benedict and corned beef hash. HUGE portions! We also saw a pancake go by for another table that was bigger than the plate! We left very satisfied and happy. We will definitely be back. We normally don’t leave online reviews but they definitely deserved it!
The food looked amazing but at the of it all it was just average. The pancakes we were really excited to eat but it was just super blend.
Menu is limited but food was excellent as was the service. Clientele seemed to be primarily seniors. Decor is a bit dated but quality of food was a cut above.
Live Music, Good food and good people
Food is always good and the staff is always friendly we love going there
Absolutely disgusting, servers have terrible snarky attitudes, people serving food in sweats, condiments are greasy and not wiped down properly. My pancake came dripping in butter and my sausage was definitely not cooked for long. Will never return to this shack. Have pictures of my food swimming in butter, there was melted butter all over our table that our waitress then proceeded to wipe off with her bare hand.y husband ordered an “eggs country Benedict” and his eggs had already been popped and looked as if there were sitting for some time because the yolks were thick with a skin developing on top.
The decor is all over the place but the food is on point. All the diner classics: pancakes the size of a whole plate, orange juice from concentrate, and eggs any way you like 'em. Will be back!
Breakfast was VERY good! Reasonable prices, great service! Try their house hot sauce
Terrible service for take out. Only received 1 of 3 meals and the lady who answered the phone provided zero assistance, instead told me to call back the next day to talk to someone else. Dishonest employees blantanty stealing from your customers. Shameful
Good eats, hearty size of meal. Great place to bring friends and family. Ample parking, friendly service, a favorite
Horrible! My company made reservations and they knew ahead of time there would be alot of people. Yet they only had one waitress and one cook available. We waited over an hour for our food. The food was good it was the not being prepared for large group they're clearly set up for. I felt bad for the waitress because it wasn't her fault.
Had an omelette and it was amazing. Perfectly cooked. Big portions, tasted amazing. Cameo also has a very relaxed, homey atmosphere. Will definitely come back. And it's located right next to a golf course.
Delicious food, great prices! Fire roasted apple French toast is my favorite. Great service, attentive waitresses, and they make sure to keep your cup of coffee topped off. One of my favorite places!
We went here for lunch. I felt mixed on the overall experience. The food was pretty good. But the service was not the best. I was with about 10 people. There was a separate room that were were able to be in, that was great. But the tables were set up in such a way that we had to sit on opposites sides of the room from each other. And the server was not the best at working with people with disabilities. She was almost yelling at the people without vision. Not sure if I’ll go back there.
Good breakfast food(haven't eaten anything else). Plenty of seating. Friendly attentive staff. Great place to gather with friends.
So much fun very clean great food and drinks. Fabulous music... great service
Vintage Restaurant that has really good food. We were there on Sunday morning and was surprised there's a mix of all ages enjoying breakfast. It feels like a mid-west kinda restaurant - something out of the 80's. The service was good.
Nice little place, does feel bit run down, but food was great! Usually “the hole in the wall” places have the best foods! But one thing I didn’t like was the customer service I got, even when I got done with the food the server never asked how was it? And I couldn’t really relay to her on how burnt the toast and hash-browns were, (almost hurting my teeth) Not a complainer, but if I am paying for something and leaving a good tip at least give me the proper service! Also they were out of hollandaise sauce and couldn’t try their Egg Benedict. Would definitely come back again though.
Food was very good and the waitress was great also
Great food and service. Nostalgic decor
Amazing American dinner food with a slight Asian fusion twist!STRONG BREAD FOR THE WIN
Pandemic time review: We ate at the Cameo after the patio opened and had a nice lunch. Our waitress wore a mask and the tables were spaced apart a comfortable amount. Fast forward to yesterday, Sunday, June 28th, we dropped in hoping for a late lunch. It was chilly on the patio so we took a table in the bar as far from other people as possible. The bartender/server was not wearing a mask, the people seated at the bar were shoulder to shoulder with no masks on anyone, and the server came to our table to ask for our order, no mask, and stood only a few feet away. We weren't comfortable so we left. 4 stars for visit number 1. Zero stars for yesterday.
The restaurant is connected with Green Acres Club but it's accessible without being a member. We started eating here because of our Dad, but continue to go back because it is good food in generous portions that is served by friendly people. We'll keep going back for breakfast all day long.
Good comfort food. Everything was tasty and the service was good. The restaurant itself had seen better days.
Our waitress made the day! Such a caring outgoing personality, she was truly something else. Our meal tasted great, the sunshine was out, and we had a fantastic time. Thanks again!
First time I've been here, food was simply delousoiusly awzome, staff is always freindly and the atmosphere is very positive and outgoing
It's a great place to go have a drink and the food is good. The the bartenders are friendly and make you feel at home. A little bit of an older crowd with some cool cars.
Great staff and food. Fun place to hang out!
Don't let Cameo Café scare you from the outside ,they have amazing breakfast and brunch ,always fast when seating big party's ,I love coming here for breakfast in the summer they have outdoor seating and it sits looking out at the golf coarse love it here.
This place is great. We had 100% perfect service! It was our first time here we will be back for sure.
I moved to Vancouver almost 4 years ago and have been to The Cameo about a half a dozen times. Kept going back because we loved the enormous pancakes, not just for the size, they were really good too!! But the customer service was always lacking. Another But, today 8/26/19, we went back again. My mom got her pancakes and as always was very happy with them. I decided to do something different and got a Cheeseburger and fries. It was the best burger and fries I've had in a very long time!!! Now, let's talk about the customer service, it was amazing!!! Waitress was pleasant, upbeat, friendly and attentive. Even the water tasted better. I kept thinking that I was in the Twilight Zone or had walked into a different restaurant. Now, I can't wait to got back for another burger and fries!!!
Delicious steak dinner! Very impressive.
Great food and great service. Best blueberry pancakes.
What more can you ask for? Great staff, food and cheap drinks!
Overall, very tasty food. This had been our favorite breakfast place in Vancouver. The past year or so... Prices increased quite a bit. It's not ridiculously priced, but when you come in to a new menu and the item you always ordered is suddenly $5+ more, takes you by surprise. Staff hasn't been as welcoming to us over the last year either. We used to have such friendly warm service, and that has definitely declined to a point we've found it unpleasant. So, we decided as a family it wouldn't be our breakfast place anymore. That being said, if you choose to go in sure you will enjoy your food. Especially their "strong bread".
My friends and I stopped for breakfast to go from the Vancouver Cameo Cafe. The anticipation of our good breakfast was enhanced by the enticing fragrances wafting from the kitchen. Though we were unable to stay and enjoy the live ambience, we took much in the food fragrances and flavors, on the go, from Cameo Cafe.
Very fast service, friendly staff, food came out quick, hot, and delicious! Quaint decor and some awesome antique furniture, the staff were very efficient and prompt. 10/10 would recommend ♡
First time eating here, came in for breakfast. Great customer service. The food was okay. If you like large portions, this place is for you.
The food was good and it's a relaxing atmosphere. It didn't really wow me, but it was good.
It's your dive bar atmosphere with some class, the food has 0 complaints from me. One of the few places you can get a good Monte Cristo. Drinks are solid and the staff, even if something comes up wrong, don't get mad because if you politely bring it up to them they are more than happy to quickly fix the issue. Only reason it's not a 5 star is because there's no pool. (But that's more of a personal thing I guess lol).
The best breakfast I've had all year! Portions are huge. Price is reasonable. Outdoor seating is available. It was busy but only hard to wait a few minutes to be seated. The waitresses were definately hustling. I want to go back every weekend!
Large portions and very savory!!!
Solid morning place if you can get up before 9 am! They have an amazing morning special with things all under $8 or so. I came here at 8 am with a very empty place greeting me. Food: I got the two egg hash brown and toast special and man was it special! It was really fried so it didn’t sit the best with my stomach but they had a homemade multigrain bread and jam and the food was really a ton for $7. The eggs I had done medium and were fluffy! Service: Exceptional. The waiter kept checking in on us and was super patient with water refills.Ambiance: A classic casual diner but with a nice homey feel with a piano and nice old decorations.Overall I liked it but a little too fried!
The bar tenders are amazing. I have had issue with the attitude of the manager Dave but in fairness it takes two to tango. Karaoke Wednesday are always fun and full of great people. They regularly get great live music. I give it 4 stars only because of my issues with an employee that are mine and make it an uncomfortable situation for me. I still recommend checking it out.
The food was good and the portions were large, but $15 for a breakfast meal is a bit overpriced. A side of bacon for $5.50? Really? And the service was really lackluster. I asked for a high chair with my daughter in my arms, and was pointed to a stack in the back corner of the restaurant. To make matters worse, all five of the high chairs in this establishment had broken straps. Drink refills didn't occur, and obtaining the check took an inordinate amount of time. Maybe we just had a bad experience, but there are too many good breakfast spots around here to waste time at this place.
